Sarah Britton BVSc, Dip Vet Clin Stud, MANZCVSc, GAICD
Sarah is a Founder and Principal Consultant at One Biosecurity Solutions. This consultancy group provides strategic advice, communication, training, and risk management services on Biosecurity, emergency preparedness and response, disease management, and One Health topics. With over 30 years of experience in veterinary science, Sarah is a highly qualified and respected professional in her field, holding a Bachelor of Veterinary Science, a Diploma in Veterinary Clinical Studies, and a membership of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists by examination in Small Animal Medicine. She is also an Australian Institute of Company Directors graduate and an Australian Rural Leadership Program Fellow.
Before launching her consultancy in September 2023, Sarah served as the Chief Veterinary Officer of the NSW Department of Primary Industries for more than five years, leading the management of animal biosecurity threats and protecting the animal health industries, community, and environment from the impact of pests, diseases, and residues. She has also worked as a Veterinary Officer and Peri-Urban Program Coordinator. She co-founded and ran two successful veterinary clinics in Melbourne and Orange, winning several awards for excellence and outstanding service.
Sarah is passionate about promoting rural and regional NSW and adopting One Health and a collaborative approach to protect Australia’s environment, health, wildlife, and agricultural industries while reducing the risk of emerging diseases and pests.
